Paper was by far the coolest unique experience an artist could have on an ipad, because of its unique sketchbook interface. All of its limitations were a good thing because they helped keep the app simple, and nothing interfered with your drawing activity. Now it became a frankenstein that doesnt really accomplish anything. Why not make this version a whole new app and keep Paper the excellent app as it used to be? Personally, I am very disappointed. THIS IS NOT THE APP I PAID FOR.

Fix it please! I want the books back.

Why did you change the nice booklet interface? That was really nice and special. Now its just normal notes design. 4 Stars. -1 Star for the new design. -1 Star for a new design that is far from my personal intuition to use. Many options are difficult to find at the beginning. + 1 Star because overall its still a solid App. Its just not the "PAPER by 53" that I liked.

Once a great, unique and smooth app with a clean and attractive interface. Now: a completely different tool, forcing you to register with your social media or email account, stuttering on my iPad 3, old notebooks converted to flat, boring sheets that common in standard business software. Will be uninstalled. I dont understand why this new version isnt sold as another app? Would be nice to have the old version back.

Just can´t beliebe it. Wanted to open my sketches and urgently needed notes but apparently Paper just "lost" them by the latest update? Couldn´t believe it until I read that more people experienced the very same thing. How ignorant can you be?

53 used to be unique. Now it gets worse and worse with each new update.

After trying to get used to the new messy interface, I realised that I would never like it and prefered the book like interface from the older version. I still like the pencil... that I use with other graphics or notes apps, never with Paper. update: I tried the latest 3.6 version... I am not made for Paper. Getting away from what I liked in Paper in every new version it seems :-(

I have used paper since it was first released. This update is brutal. Paper is trying to be to much. This is the first time I have deleted this app.

I dont use this app anymore, horrible interface. Went from using it constantly to never. Simplicity was what worked the best. Redesign has taken it away from its original beauty and added nothing of worth. Change for the sake of nothing better to do.

Hi 53 I really like your app and it really helps me to be creative. However I liked your old interface better it had a better feel to it and much easier to work with Thanks MEMA

Your updates seem to be getting progressively worse, and I just lost an entire sketch book and I cant seem to get it back. I really love this app and I used to really know my way around it but now its really impractical and hard to use.

The new UI is worse than the previous one (which was worst than the first one) Using the Apple Pencil, I find that the lines are now way too big to be usable while writing. It was better on the previous versions. So sad...

I love this program which I use for sketching portraits while I travel. It is truly amazing and simple to use. I sometimes wish I could modify the size of the brushes or "smudge" on pencil drawings but thats a detail. Great tool!

I use this app for sketching wire frames and storyboards. Dozens of versions of the same idea, exploring, brainstorming. Duplicating and remixing my own work is the lifeblood of my creativity. But with each successive update, Paper keeps making that harder and harder. The latest update moves further away from gestures and more towards buttons. Its a direction that I am sad to see... The app gets slightly more powerful, but less intuitive. There is more hunting and pecking. And it seems to be slowly evolving into Evernote. I am hoping that Paper will choose to return to its strengths. The best ink engine ever. Gestural controls that are grounded in physical metaphors. Doing one thing really well. Ill hope, but I wont hold my breath. That being said, 53, if you continue to make Paper more of a productivity / note taking app, *please* add more sophisticated page management tools! Multi page select, move, and export would be very helpful!

I think its safe to say that we all like the old version better. I cant navigate this new setup.

I dont understand why such a big change was "needed"... Please dont forget why we fell in love with you originally .. It would be wise to offer a Legacy mode so we can use the interface that we fell in love with and that made jotting an idea far from being a task.. Sorry for being so harsh but its such a waste. This app is useless to me now. Lets hope for good changes....1 star for starting out good

I cant recommend this to my family because they would find it frustratingly complicated to navigate. I get a headache looking at the interface. I cant imagine my uncles. They love simpler apps like Adobe Sketch.

Its been awhile since Ive used paper as my go to sketch pad but having recently opened the new version Im sad to see that the app is almost unrecognizable:( What used to be a cute, simple, intuitive interface has been replaced by an unnecessarily complicated and confusing mess. Im not sure why 53 decided to go in this direction but Im not a fan and judging by peoples recent comments Im not the only one. Wouldnt recommend this app in its current state...big disappointment:(

This app was a favourite 2-3 yrs ago when it came out. It was vibrant and SIMPLE. Now, its 82 mb of frustration. Please rectify this dilemma and revert back to the originality and simplicity it once had.
