The smart shapes help me at work to make workflows on the go and the normal drawing tools let me practice my digital drawing. 5 stars because the App is great but its still missing a way to sync iPhone and iPad.

53 used to be unique in its own way because it felt like a book. Now that they "pimped" it it feels like any other drawing program. Add classic mode or people might stop using it. Worst update ever
I have no problem to register at all. But this kind of forced registration sucks.
Too complicated to find functions and use them. Usability 2/10 Account required to automatically save my data on servers out of my control. Privacy 3/10
Essential app for creative work and drawings. Amazong, simple, powerful
...to look at it? Sorry, you should work on that...
But one thing, I miss an option to adjust paper size.
i use paper 53 for so many different applications, its difficult to pinpoint just what i love about this app, but its one of my favourites! not just a drawing tool. well-worth the money!
I downloaded this app when it was first released years ago, and it has never left my home screen. And I have almost 100 apps on my iPad/iPhone. ITS THAT GOOD!
This used to be my favourite iPad app. I spent hours and hours making drawings and raved about the app to so many friends. I even bought Pencil. I just opened the app for the first time in a couple of months and am shocked. How did such a promising app turn into a nagging, overdesigned piece of bloatware? What a tragedy.
Sad. Feeping creaturism strikes again.
The missing fifth star is reserved for missing iCloud support ;-)
Not sure where Fiftythree is going on but I think its the wrong way. Please stop... take a break... take some pieces of paper, a pencil and draw some sketches. Be simply creative... That used to be Paper few months ago... It was a simple as this. Everyone was loving it. It was a 5 stars app. Now, take your iPad, launch Paper try to only focus on creativity. Its almost impossible. The soul of Paper has been replaced by a bunch of unuseful things. Now, you tap here and there and finally quit the app and wait until another version is coming out hoping that everything get fixed someday... I wish I had never updated Paper few months ago. I dont used it anymore. Just waiting... Very Big disappointment...
This is a great App!! It is especially great if you have an iPad with retina and the Pencil by Fifty Three. There were a few adjustments in a few of their updates but now it seems just fine. It is really easy to use if you take a little time to learn the features. I have been with Paper before Pencil and I am addicted!! The only downside is the Mix but not because of Paper but because kids use it to chat. But even then you still get some incredible art work from some of the users. Overall this is a great app!! My favourite art app.
This used to be my favourite app. The new look and feel is awkward and its lost the charm of the sketchbook. If they discontinued/deleted the drawing app I paid for to replace with this pointless notes app, Id like to get my money back.
This used to be a great app but now even doing simple things is impossible to figure out. Also, why cant you connect to Dropbox or another external storage provider other than Adobe or Microsoft OneNote!!!???
Once great app, destroyed by corporate greed. Stay away.
Loved Paper in the past, it was simple and straight forward, used it on the regular basis, paid for all the tools when it was still necessary to buy the package. Now with the recent updates its basically useless, hard to figure out whats what.
Ive had paper for a long time, I really love many of the new features but I really miss the old sketch book format and I really dont like the text at the bottom of the page, I would prefer if the text could be placed anywhere on the drawing page and also if the font could be changed. The new photo option is great but would be even better if you could place multiple photos on each image. All that being said this is a great app for tracing from photos and can be used to good effect for making cartoon images from photos.
I tried this to use with my apple pencil on iPad pro. The app seems good but these people insist that one opens an account with them in order to use the app. This obviously is a strategy for a future subscription model and in fact this piece of software is obviously a Trojan horse. They give it away free so you will become used to it and create a library of your work and then will charge you to use it once you are dependent. Procreate is a much better app and requires only a one time purchase to make it yours.
