I love Paper for sure. But the latest update has taken away the ink pens awesomeness. The new effect looks incredibly dull. Please bring it back!!!!

I purchased an iPad Pro after I saw how well the Apple Pencil worked with this application. Specifically, I am talking about one of their writing tools that wrote like a fountain pen...as others here have described so accurately. However, with this update, they have managed to replace it by a pen tool that creates totally lifeless lines....devoid of any character. I see this often with some application developers. It seems they are out of touch with the needs and interests of their customers. For me...the combination of iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and Paper53 had become the perfect replacement for ink pen and paper. Please consider bringing it back. I am willing to pay extra for it.

Fun to noodle with. Not a very useful app. Would like to be able to work in portrait. Would like the Done button moved. Am constantly accidently hitting it with my palm as i write and draw. Not sure why three commands - rotate, duplicate and move to space have their own menu? Why not just put them with trash and share. As others have noted my eraser on the Pencil stylus frequently fails to work. The paper type templates are too hard to find... you have to leave the workspace to choose a new paper style??

Probably the best app available for drawing, taking notes, etc. The "inks" are utterly original and have inspired several copy cats. Top notch design and development work. Feature set is so satisfactory, well thought and original. I had issues with the last major "update" when UI was drastically redesigned. But all of them have been addressed.

Love the app but here are the problems I encounter: The zoom in/out should be bigger, when drawing near the bottom of the page often the toolbar pops up onto screen, it gets annoying and should be offscreen, also make a full like Microsoft paint had, you 53 guys are all Microsoft guys I know, remember paint? It was great.

I would HIGHLY suggest this app to people who love showing their creativity and other things like that!

This app is pretty awesome. I use it to keep all my notes on for college and flight school! ✈️ I only have three slightly major beefs with this app, and really I only consider them major because I use this app literally everyday. Firstly, the utensils drive me a little crazy. I think a new update must have happened or something because the marker doesnt write the way it did a few days ago

I agree with other reviews of the most recent update to the pen tool, when using Apple Pencil on iPad Pro. The old version with the slight widening at the beginning and end of strokes gave a distinct and natural look to the writing. I chose Paper for my notes over other more "note"-like tools because of the beautiful way the ink was rendered. With the latest update, the pen tool is just run of the mill. I still love the App, but would like the old pen tool back.

The old pen feel more fluid and resulted in better looking handwriting.

Would most definitely recommend this app to an Educator. There are so many tools that would keep students interested. The public and private stream, make it the perfect app for students and teachers.

New ui looks like crap!! Bring back notebook theme.

The only reason I was using this was how beautiful and natural the pen tool looked. Now its just like the apple native notes app. Whats the point? I cant even use this app in split screen. Please reinstate the old pen tool. Very upset.

Very nice app but why can I not work on portrait mode? Some of us prefer working in portrait mode on iPad. Its kind of a hassle having to every time turn around my iPad pro in landscape mode to work especially when Im out in the field working.... Please give the option....it works on iPhone in portrait so why not iPad ??? Its a small request but it makes a big difference when working.... Also why dont you have an Mac app? Would be great for working people like me to be able to have the option to work on my Mac with synced notes. Please consider. Thank You

I like this app but I would love it more if it had iCloud sync between iPad and iPhone. Not Microsoft. Come on these are Apple devices!

So the Apple Pencil finger blend/rejection is not working consistently. I have found that If the app detects you palm and the pencil for a short period then it will reject your finger even when you move your palm, but there seems to be a time limit that causes it to go back. Case in point, if the option is turn on it should either blend or completely reject everything except the Apple Pencil. 2 Stars because I like the app. I just find the constant stray finger marks extremely annoying. Syncing is also I feature that is sorely missing, maybe start charging for the app in order to better support it? The 2 finger tap backwards seems to work consistently, its the 2 finger dial rotation that needs some work.
